I live on the west side of Lansing. I have been playing music since I was a kid, writing music for the last 25 years, jamming a lot with friends and family, playing music in church, and I was a singer-songwriter in a band for a few years. I have about 30 finished songs, and about 50 songs that are still in progress. I'm looking for local musicians to make music with, to create new songs and maybe flesh out existing songs. I have been singing and playing acoustic guitar at local open mic nights since May 2023. I'm most comfortable on piano and keys, and after 20 years on acoustic and electric guitar, I'm getting more comfortable on the guitar. I'm learning ukulele and mandolin. My vocals are serviceable but not my strength. I would love to collaborate with vocalists, piano/keys/synth players, guitar players, and percussionists. I want to be part of something great, but I would also settle for being part of something that's pretty sweet. Mostly I want to network with local musicians, make some like-minded friends, and if we're lucky, maybe find ourselves doing something great. I have a full-time M-F career, and I'm not looking to be in a cover band. Covers are amazing and I love doing them, but I would also love to put some new music out into the universe.
