I currently attend an (solo performers) open mike, trying to improve my skills. My goal is to become more comfortable in a group, and because my geographical location limits my ability to connect with other musicians, I am interested in trying to do online jamming. I can be of assistance in helping with the technology, not that I am an expert or that it requires extensive efforts. I also don't know how well it works. I am willing to explore the possibilities.
That being said, I am not against traveling to an area, specifically Bethlehem PA (18017 zip), for initial setup, etc.. An additional factor is that I am retired (except that I substitute teach) and want to play with other people in my age category.
My musical interest is Blues. I know the line can become blurred with rock, like Stevie Ray Vaughan, which I like but I am not at his level in any way shape or form and could not do his songs, maybe rhythm guitar.
I consider myself intermediate level on guitar and harmonica. My primary instrument is guitar. I have a processor that converts it to bass and am currently working on looping bass and guitar, a work in progress.
