ABOUT

We are an all-original rock band, with a full CD worth of music ready to record. We are female fronted and play out once or twice a month (Saturday/Sunday gigs only). Must be available for weekly writing/rehearsal/recording work every Saturday unless we are playing. On gig weekends, we do not rehearse since we are doing a show.

We have a very good following and have been on the scene here with the same name for over 6 years. We started as a cover band, then converted to an original band a little over a year ago. We plan to continue on as an original band, but have recently had to let our former bassist go due to some personal issues. We remain on good terms, but now need to move on and find his replacement.

We are looking for a dedicated player, with strong skills, stage presence, and a professional attitude--all while having fun, of course. Backup vocal ability is a big plus.

If you are used to the cover scene, being in an original band is much different. Many gigs are played for free (though we do have some paying gigs). This is mainly because we are playing our music as opposed to being a human jukebox. That said, we have "paid our dues" quite a bit and can sometimes get paid a small amount for our work if we put a show together with some other bands. Lately, we have developed a project highlighting other female fronted bands which has been very well received. We've developed quite a niche for ourselves that could manifest into some minimal touring (we all have full time jobs--so it wouldn't be anything too lengthy.) If you must get paid your typical $100-$150 bucks per man ($400-$600 per night), this is not that kind of band. If you're tired of being a jukebox and want to work in the original scene, we'd love to talk to you.

Must have own transportation, bass, amp/head, etc., in good working condition. We have a full PA and rehearse in our converted home studio. We have a full Cubase recording setup and are ready to record our CD. This is the perfect opportunity to get in at a very opportune time. We will be writing more music as well and look for someone comfortable with composing.

Finally, and most importantly, we cannot stress enough that we will not hire anyone with any kind of drinking or drug problems. We are all professionals that enjoy making music and know that excessive drinking and drugs can seriously derail where we want to go. If this sounds like what you're looking for, please contact us for an audition.
