Looking for jam band. Just a part time thing. I want to jam and play out occasionally. I think we could get gigs doing jazz funk along the lines of Soulive, Galatic, etc. Music I love includes - all jazz, all funk, all rock, Dead, Kamasi Washington (that whole scene), Thundercat, Flying Lotus, Lotus Plaza, Deerhunter (the shoegazer one, not the other), Hendrix, Yes, Allman Brothers, The Smiths, Galatic, Stanton Moore solo stuff, Afrobeat bands (Antibalas, etc), Derek Trucks, Radiohead, Chicano Batman, Ari - Moon Safari, just about any band live from KEXP on be, Stereolab, Beirut, Mac DeMarco, Curtis Mayfield, Tame Impala, Sun Ra, Mahavishnu Orchestra, that whole 70's fusion thing, Billy Cobham Spectrum & Total Eclipse, Curtis Mayfield, Stones, Coltrane. There's just a lot of stuff I love.

See description above. Usually (just like everyone) I'll listen to something for a while, then move on, but come back to it. So in addition to above, add in Little Feat, Zappa, Led Zeppelin, Mingus, Rollins, Bowie, old blues musicians, Clapton, Grizzly Bear, The Jam, Public Image LTD, all soul stuff like Aretha, Dream Pop artists, Black Sabbath. I like a lot of straight ahead jazz.
