ABOUT

Started out as a drummer, ages ago. Picked up harmonica along the way, in addition to a number of percussion instruments. I'm a songwriter with a good collection of 30 or so songs spanning from country, to blues, to Americana. A few of them have a slight comic twist. I'm mastering that now. It ain't easy. I'm looking to start a little outfit that could gig around DFW some, but I'm really looking to get a publishing deal and am willing to negotiate terms with the right individual(s) who I though could take me to the next level. In essence, I'd like to throw what we've all got on the table and see what kind of magic we can make happen. I work nights, primarily, but can make arrangements when gigs come available. Practice on Sundays would be ideal.
P.S. I would have selected much more than 4 genres if they let me, acoustic, folk, southern rock, R&B, etc.

Influences

If I model myself after anyone, it'd have to be Delbert McClinton or maybe Taj Majal, I guess. I like Keb Mo a whole lot, Mofro and Eric Lindel, too. Huge Muddy Waters fan. As far as the harp goes, again, I sound a little like Delbert, Jerry Portnoy too, kinda. I'm pretty crafty inside a 1-4-5 blues box, but am also very at home outside my comfort zone. I've played with a whole lot Dallas blues cats. (Enough said, I hope.)

EQUIPMENT

I'm in between amps at the moment. But I play primarily Special 20's and Lee Oskar's. I play a little chromatic, but it's not my bread box, you might say. And I've never found anything that remotely compared to my Green Bullet, for me anyway. I'm in the market for a vintage Pignose or Marshall tube amp, if you know anybody.
