I created this profile to hopefully find a vocalist for a Blues forward project that I am working on with friends. We're just forming, but most of us play together on a weekly or biweekly basis through church or other random gigs as requested.
We've currently got a drummer, a lead guitar/ bgv, a keyboard player, and a bass player ready to start getting gigs but the vocalist we had in mind for this project is too busy with her young children right now so we are on the hunt for a replacement.
We're certainly not looking to become touring musicians as we are all comfortable in the career paths we have chosen but we're looking to flex our creative muscles a bit more and make music we are proud of. We believe in being paid for entertaining and certainly will be seeking compensation to do so.
We would start out with covers and transition to writing and performing a mix of our own tracks as well as covers. We don't always like to perform covers the traditional way but definitely try to make them our own.
Drug free, good transportation, as well as great character and integrity are musts for the person or people we will work with as we have kids and care about the influences they are exposed to through us.
