ABOUT

Jesse Guitar Greathouse is an electrifying blues guitarist with a rock twist you will love the energy and positive vibes.
Growing up in a musical family Jesse has always had a love for learning and playing music whether it be drums, harmonica, Trumpet, or Guitar or even producing records he says he especially loves songwriting, music has always played a gigantic role in his life.
As a seven year old Jesse would play the harmonica in his fathers blues band, it was asked how he learned to play the harmonica at such an extremely young age, he replied "I don't know, one night at a club I was handed the thing and I just blew what sounded good, one thing led to the next, i was in the band" that was the beginning of a life of music, for the kid that would one day be known as Jesse Guitar Greathouse.
Transitioning from the harmonica to the trumpet in the 6th grade as he played in the school band on weekdays and clubs on weekends he felt like life had swiftly changed for the better, now knowing how to read music and count measures, Jesse had a new outlook on music, wanting to be the next Satchmo aka Louis Armstrong, little did he know that would all change.
As a teen at the sweet age of thirteen Jesse was playing trumpet in his dads band, someone requested the band played Jimi Hendrix's hit entitled "Purple Haze" this would be the first time of the young enthused teen witnessing his dad Horris Greathouse shred a Hendrix classic, it amazed him so that he knew that he had to learn the guitar, given a old guitar and checking out a chord book at the library he went to work and was playing in no time.
Two years after learning the Guitar Jesse played everywhere he could with his dad and sister Jessica Harmony Greathouse, from churches to clubs, even birthday parties feeling like he finally found the instrument of choice he practiced non stop and it showed, he knew at the age of fifteen that music would be his career of choice.
One day his dad got a visit from an guy that he mentored in the past, that would set Jesse's decision about music in stone, Jesse's dad took hit to the studio to meet and record guitar on a track with Universal music producer Salih Williams (whom Jesse's dad deemed a music genius as a young child) and singer Latasha Lee, after the recording was done Salih asked the teenage Jesse what did he wanna do in the music world, he replied he wanted to be the next Jimi Hendrix, Salih told him that producing was where the money was which started the next chapter in his life.
Jesse Learned the ins and outs of recording from software to microphones, his dad believing in his dream bought everything he needed, Jesse started rapping and producing which he enjoyed for a few years opening and operating a studio (Greathouse Studios) with his family in Austin Texas.
In 2014 Jesse gets a message on from Salih Williams asking him to become lead guitarist in a band he was thinking about forming, which would later become "Latasha Lee and the Blackties" opening for acts like Anthony Hamilton and more.
Feeling the big stages and shining lights it was no doubt Jesse would go back to his roots and get back into live music.
Now known as Jesse Guitar, he is finding his star and picked up singing and songwriting to express his art as he calls it, he said he is painting on his own canvas and its beautiful, you can find Jesse charming the crowds in Austin Texas and he plans to make this a lifetime experience.
"This Art is something that chose me, I love doing it and if it is in God's will, I will do this until he takes me home."
