ABOUT

Seasoned old pro journeyman. I play acoustic and electric guitar both lead and rhythm. Also sing both lead and backup. Been playing since the early 60’s. I like Americana, country, jazz, swing and (jump) blues primarily. I like to rework old tunes. I don’t care for “like the record” approach to arranging. Too many influences to list. I have pro gear and pro attitude. Easy to work with, if everyone is prepared.

Influences

This gets weird...

Billie Holliday, Guy Clark, Freddy Cole, Little Charlie Baty, Kenny Burrell, Waylon, Willie, Charlie Christian, Jerry Jeff Walker, Bob Wills, Merle Haggard, Townes Van Zandt, Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Nat King Cole, Jimmie Vaughan, JJ Cale, Doc Watson, Cindy Walker, Hank Williams, Van Morrison, and many more. I almost embarrassed to go on. As you imagine I have a very eclectic style, but know how to play the style required of the tune, gig, band, vocalist, etc.
