I have been playing drums since the age of five. My brother had a set in his room and when he would go out on weekend nights, I would punish my parents and the neighbors.
In my late teens and early 20's, I played in a couple different bands, mostly old country. We were successful for what we wanted out of the situation. We were looking for fun and money and I'd have to say, we accomplished both.
Well, now I'm 50 and, as you know, life happens. I have a family, bills, and responsibilities out the wazoo but, I still have that driving urge to play music and be creative with other musicians.
Now, I'm no Neil Peart, Alex Van Halen, or John Bonham but, I can hold a beat and sound good doing it.
I'm looking for like minded folks who want to have fun, jam and grow together for now and if it works maybe play some gigs together.
