ABOUT

I am a singer that has been playing keyboards since 1976 and play all around the Tri-County area. I am a balladeer and am good with both lead and harmony vocals. I love to work with other musicians that can sing lead, backup, and fill harmonies like the Eagles, Simon and Garfunkel, Alabama, and any good vocal harmony group. I am not looking for any stand-alone singers that don't play any instruments, unless you are into doing a duo and can hold up your end vocally. I am a keyboard player that plays modestly, but I play almost anything I get my hands on if it interests me or the song calls out to me for a certain part. I am professional enough to know what NOT to do. I am not looking to join any bands that are looking for a keyboard player for just any old band. I am in my early 60's, and still sing high and clear but who knows for how long. I am always interested in chatting with serious minded musicians. Meshing and gelling musically is important, and we'll never get to that point if we don't talk openly first. NO ego here and will only work with the same. I play out often at clubs, Bars, and parties still, and work with some very talented people. I am content, but have ALWAYS been looking for a musical mate, someone that sings harmonies like I do and could pull out stuff like, but not necessarily limited to the likes of The Eagles, The Everly Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles etc, etc . . . I have a knack for putting together segways and arrangements on songs without "murdering" the song. Tasteful and powerful and leaving the people we're performing for wanting more. If this sounds like you we should talk. Super cool and easy to work with here, and only looking for same. Because those that know their limits and skills are already in that frame of mind, and that's all I'm looking for, period. You know who you are . . .

Influences

In no specific order: The Eagles, Garth Brooks, REO Speedwagon, Bob Seger, Simon and Garfunkel, Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Steve Wariner, Alabama, The Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley, Billy Currington, Jason Aldean, and the list goes on. some of these listed are some of the artists stuff I do, not necessarily "influences", but trying to show the versatility of what we like and do. I know when a song has run its course and to drop it, as well as when to revive an old tune and play it for today's crowd. Know what I mean? We just started bringing back some 80's country and the people are starving for it again. We also do some of today's stuff like Florida Georgia Line. We're NOT looking to clone or tribute any bands but we do do them close to the recording with our own nuance. we own it. We have harmonies in most of our songs.

EQUIPMENT

Roland Keyboards a few sound modules, Kurzweil, Yamaha MoxF8, Juno 2, Juno Di (my second favorite), 8 LED Pars with poles and controllers, some modest but not toy effects lights, 24 track capable studio recording stuff and effects in my basement. Lexicon effects unit (love it), Crown Amps, all old school good stuff. Good mics, 2 full P.A.'s. Old school Tri-Amp with Subs Run in stereo setup for larger gigs and fairs etc, A good working knowledge of PA and stage setup. When I run Tri-Amp, I run it in stereo. I want thumping Lows and Crisp highs without having to yell in a persons ear. quality, full and dimensional equalized sound. Smaller rooms I use a pair of powered 15" JBL EON speakers which I love, and a pair of JBL powered subs.
I run a clean stage with wiring routed professionally. I don't allow a messy stage. I'm particular, but easy going and very easy to get along with. Good luck with your search . . .
