ABOUT

~ Hello and thanks for taking a moment for me.
[1st, a note about my sudden, unexpected purchase of a newer vehicle. The old one died and I have a new loan, on top of another old loan, making travel very difficult or impossible at times. HOWEVER, Older debt will be gone in 10/17, making it possible to afford a bit of travel again. If you are just a short hop away, I may be able to still afford the gas. ]

While not a "Studio" musician per se, I had in years past done small recordings and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would gladly do so again.
I have been in Prog Rock bands, (My 1st choice in music) Metal, (Though not my 1st choice) Blues, Wedding Business bands, and several other styles of bands. I began playing drums in 1972. I am a healthy as can be 60 Y.O, who's ready to get "into the ring" so to speak.
While I love "YES" & the original Lead Singer Jon Anderson, (My Voice is VERY similar to that of the Yes/ Jon sound, and I have been singing since 1st grade until today) I would like to be in a progressive rock style band. (See Influences)
I have not been in a band for many years now, but I could play out a week from now if needed...
(I have sat in on drums during jams and I fall instantly into place)
I practice intermittently, and could be at a band practice when needed.
I currently have a well behaved dog and no girlfriend. (But wish I did)~

Influences

My background and influences comes from bands like Yes, Led Zep, Genesis and ELP to Jeff Beck's music. Maybe some Hendrix in there too.

I enjoy good hard rock too, like Guns 'N Roses, Black Sabbath, and more in that area. I loved some of the 80's bands like the "New Wave" stuff. Fixx, Dolby, Police... So I'm fond of those too, I really liked Phil Collins (He was a big drumming influence too. He and Bill Bruford of Yes) And of course some basics like The Beatles and Stones too.
