I'm a drummer and singer in a local band. The band was together for 10 years, but split up about 5 years ago. The guitarist and I played in a local blues group during that time, but now we are looking for a bass player to put our band together. We play original tunes that reflect on the influences on the band of southern and classic rock (Allman Brothers), contemporary alternative music (Drive By Truckers, etc.), as well as a whole host of others. We also play a number of cover tunes that fit in with the original music.

Influences

I'd like to think that I've been influenced by any drummer that I've heard, but I'd have to say that the drummers who played for Steely Dan during the 70's and 80's (Steve Gadd, etc.) are probably at the forefront of that list.
