New Coos Bay resident, looking for other musicians to jam with and/or write original music, and/or play out, and/or do some covers. For the right covers, I'd do a cover band but I prefer original music. I have three albums under the band name "jenny's tribe", the last one was nominated for a Grammy in 2011 in two categories (best new artist, album of the year) by a Boston member of NARAS.
I started off playing drums in college doing things like Side 1 to Moving Pictures, Fly By Night, Led Zepplin 4, and some Metallica and Pantera. Getting a drumming gig as a chick proved too much for me at the time, so I started writing music on piano and guitar, eventually finding my way to the Boston indie scene.
I've played drums, violin, acoustic/electric guitar and piano out professionally. (Well, when it's original music, the pay is either laughably low or non-existent, so does that nullify the "professional" moniker? You decide.)
If a cover band did heavy rock tunes from kick ass bands, I could do the vocals and/or drums best. But my true music love is writing music with other kick ass musicians.

Influences
Soundgarden, Audioslave, Pantera, Ani DiFranco, Rush, the Fray, Tantric, the Roots, G-Love and Special Sauce, Alanis Morriette, Paramore, P!nk, umm, so many good ones out there.
Of course, the real influences were the boatload of Boston indie scene bands that no one would know out here, but would undoubtedly enjoy as much as the big names from above.

I have a number of well-intentioned family members who honestly believe that there are certain spell-like rules and rituals that are require to go to heaven when you die. So, this is the story of what I think would happen if an atheist/jew/muslim/you-name-it person were to die and meet Jesus at the gates. And it ends pretty much the same way as when the Church-ians get there.
