Seeking vocalists who can bring an unconventional edge to our music. I have multiple unreleased projects in progress and work out of a small home studio. My preferences for creative control and collaboration vary across these projects.

While we'll steer clear of mainstream pop, I can appreciate subtle pop influences which complement rather than dominate our underground sound. I gravitate towards unique and experimental female vocals, be they airy and ethereal such as Miki Berenyi of Lush, Elizabeth Fraser of Cocteau Twins, and Bjork, low and sullen like Toni Halliday of Curve, and Shirley Manson of Garbage, or punky like Justine Frischmann of Elastica and Kathleen Hanna of Le Tigre. I'm also open to collaborating with male vocalists - some I like are Andy Bell of Erasure, David Gahan of Depeche Mode, Bernard Sumner of New Order, Peter Murphy, Richard Butler of The Psychedelic Furs, and David Bowie.

Some sounds I create:

* dark, atmospheric post-rock, industrial and electronic
* uplifting, multilayered dream pop, shoegaze and synth pop
* glitchy, punky, experimental but danceable (IDM)

We'll work primarily remotely, so having your own quality microphone and recording setup is essential. Communication will primarily be through email/text, with occasional phone calls or in-person meetings if you're local.

I prefer to take a relaxed, unhurried approach to the creative process. My goal is to eventually release the music, but still to be determined whether to pursue playing live (time and energy levels make touring difficult). I'm more of a producer than a performer.

Personality: I'm generally a mellow and quiet type and resonate most with thoughtful and introspective individuals who are a balance of introversion and extroversion. Admittedly I'm also nerdy and awkward. We likely won't click if you're inclined towards a wild or party-centric lifestyle. It's also important that even if you express dark and turbulent emotions in your lyrics, you prioritize mental well-being and emotional stability in daily life.
