I have extensive former experience (several hundred shows) as a founding member (guitar) of Clearmotive (://.last.fm/music/Clearmotive) from 2000-2004 - including several national tours - and as a founding member (lead vocals/guitar) of Hello Blue Hudson (s:///hellobluehudson/music/songs) from 2004-2006, as well as a few solo acoustic shows since then. Additional projects include some solo recordings (s:///joehooley) and a single-song project (s:///southwestofnortheast).
These last two projects will give you the best idea of the direction I'd like to go in.
However, I have not played regularly for several years now and would like to get writing/playing back into my life. I live in Lakewood, and would prefer to get involved with something which would stay fairly local. I play guitar and can sing lead vocals if needed. I also play saxophone, and am somewhat proficient with keys, drums, bass, etc. if needed.
I am looking for a potential project - nothing too serious, no touring but definitely would want to play out locally around Cleveland. I'm not looking for a cover band but would be open to playing a few covers here or there for fun.
I'm thinking a small group, potentially acoustic, but wouldn't mind a full electric band either. Introducing electronics/loops would be interesting as well.
