Band to Join.ABOUT
I am in my sixties. I played music a lot (Hammond & Fender Rhodes) back in the 1970s, semi-professionally. I was a music major in college, when my life took a different direction.
Meanwhile, I've stayed in touch with my musical roots, though I have not been practicing a whole lot over the years. I've kept an acoustic piano in the house, and play it regularly. And I play Hammond B3 on our church's contemporary worship team.
Several years ago, I bought a stage piano & an organ. I am back into playing with some folks around town. I have the gear and a truck to move it around.
I absolute love music and would be available to rehearse one day a week and to play a gig or two on a monthly basis.
I like funky, smooth jazz, Santana, blues, etc. Gimme a three or four chord groove and I'm happy. I've also put together a 50-song repertoire of jazz standards on the piano.
