ABOUT

Having played the road for 16 years, I'm tired of not only the standards, but the craziness of band mates, and would prefer someone who's sane, sound, and sober and leans a bit to the right, with no obnoxious ego and is just a well rounded, down to earth person.
In other words, someone who's got good character quality, over musical expertise (although both would be preferred), as long as they've got a soul, and can appreciate music that evokes a human emotion. In short, someone who can take the music I play up a notch, or add to it with a compatibility that can blend either pretty or twangy, according to the song being played. I'm not a virtuoso who can just 'wing it,' (mainly because of primarily being a drummer for 16 years, but got tired of being at the mercy of playing whatever someone else wanted to play, so self-taught myself over the past 20 years to play guitar and the songs that I like), but I can sight read or play just fine by memory. PS -- don't even mind playing a few Gospel songs here and there either, and "playing for fun" is open to being seriously dedicated to forming a 2,3, or 4-piece group for occasional weekends, or one-nighters.
