I've been playing guitar for 40 yrs. In my view, as a musician, it is my job to make music. I therefore decline to be boxed into such categories as lead and/or rhythm, classic rock or blues. Rather, I listen to the music being played and my ear hears what is needed to enhance the sound. Then I actively seek to develop the part that is called for, be it a screaming solo, a chunky rhythm or what have you.

My roots are firmly in the blues. Over the years I have played in a number of rock, blues, and R&B bands. I occaisionally dabble in country and for the last decade or so I have been exploring the jazz world. I currently play in the 'Happy Days String Band' doing standards in the style of the Philadelphia Mummers.
