Trumpet|Lead & Background VOX
A native Austinite, John "Johno" Burton started playing trumpet at age 11 and played through high school; all the while winning many various individual and group awards.
Upon graduating high school, Johno joined the U.S. Marine Band where he played many prestigious events. Including, performing Taps and Echo Taps for hundreds of funerals for fallen Marines and naturally-deceased Marines. Also, performed at the Rose Bowl 3 years in a row, the World Cup Soccer Championship (1994), Indy 500 (1994) and performed for the late great Bob Hope on numerous occasions.
After leaving the Marines in July of 1995, Johno moved back to his hometown of Austin, TX and proceeded to hit the live music scene and has had the pleasure of performing with the likes of:
Diamond Simon and the Roughcuts, Joe Valentine and the Imperials, The Move, Radical 289, the Dena Parmer Band, Love Missile (drums/vocals), Sonata Band, the Instigators (drums/vocals), the Exhibitors/the Show Band, Jumpstart Band, Calico Kings, Robert Wagner, the Original Recipe Band, PurpleBeeCrew with Grego, The Portal, Groovin' Ground, Moving Matter, Jabarvy, Jimmy George, Russell Clepper, Sauce the Band, the J. Wesley Haynes Trio "jazz", the Austin Party Band (currently), and I currently perform with .HotSauceATX -I know I'm leaving out many other great musicians that I've performed with but I just had to put down what I could remember right now. Sorry! ;-)

Influences
I was only allowed up to 3 for "music genre" but I also play jazz, R&B, funk, rock, classic rock, Latin, lounge, reggae, blues and classical. I can play almost anything so just let me know what you're looking for. :-)
Also, I just started my own horn line called "Brass of Fresh Air"!! I'm working on a website and other business material.

EQUIPMENT
Trumpet, coronet, flugelhorn, baritone and falsetto lead vocals and I'm very good at harmonies. I have perfect pitch. (really) Digitech effects unit with foot switch and Crybaby pedal.
