ABOUT

25+ years experience as guitarist(primary)/ bassist(also primary)/keyboardist/ educator/ composer and expert sound design engineer--have worked as a Sound Design Engineer for Kurzweil Music Systems for 10+ years. Fluent and comfortable in most styles, but also don't mind ripping faces off with loud fire-breathing guitar, if need be. Not an off-the cuff mad improvising keyboardist, but can play well and improvise well if practicing and rehearsed.

Bass: You know I'm gonna say it--Jaco Pastorius, Chuck Rainey, Tal Wilkenfeld, Thundercat, Squarepusher, James Jameson, or any of the good people in any style at all.

Keys: Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans, Brad Mehldau, George Duke, Cick Corea, Theloneus Monk, etc.

Electronic: Flying Lotus, Thundercat, Squarepusher, Toro y Moi, Deadmau5, Daft Punk, Swedish House Mafia,Hudson Mohawke, Bonobo, Lindstrom, Mouse on Mars, etc etc etc....

Instruments: 2 G&L ASAT Teles modded(Duncans), 1 G&L ASAT Special (Chambered), 1 Nashville Tele modded(Duncans), hot-rodded G&L Legacy(Duncans), Jeff Beck Signature Strat with Joe Barden pickups, a rebuilt David Gilmour-style Strat with Custom Shop '69's, Epiphone Dot w/ Duncans, one-off First Act fretless guitar (awesome!), Les Paul w/ Duncan Antiquities, Frankenstrat Levinson Blade, Ibanez Bass, Kurzweil K2000 and PC2X, beater acoustic--but willing to splurge if right situation comes along.

Software: Reason 8, ProTools 9, Logic Pro X, and a bunch of other stuff.

Pedals: Im a total gear dork--I've got dozens of boutique pedals that can influence dynamics or give me any sound or effect you've ever heard or can think of. Depending on the gig, I configure accordingly.

Amps: Reworked '84 Marshall JCM 800 100W Combo, reworked '78 Fender Twin, Vox AC15 Greenback, Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb amp, Fender Prosonic Combo. Can run in stereo, if needed/ desired.
