Band to Join.

Versatile guitarist with good vocal ability looking for an established band, or possibly, a promising new project. I'm into Funk/Soul/R&B and all types of Rock, from 60's up till now. Love Jazz and Fusion, too, but not pushing that here really. Willing to play almost anything. But please no Country or Metal bands. If your just doing a bit of either, then I'm good with that.

I consider strong vocals/harmonies a very big thing and I do whatever I can to make that happen. Happy to contribute lead vocals if and when needed, but backing up someone who can truly sing is something I especially like.

Never been the most talented out there, but work hard to earn some respectable musical skills that's helped my previous bands maintain some pretty high standards. It's satisfying for me to know that I'm someone you can count on.

Don't drink or get high ever while working, only an occasional glass of wine on my own time. I'm currently 67, but very healthy, energetic and young for my age. Not shy about carrying p.a. speakers around, either. I've yet to color my pesky graying hair, but might if I thought the situation was worth it.

Please message me if I didn't answer something for you. Thank you very much for your time and for being a musician.

My "go to" rig is a Line 6 (JTV69) Variax guitar with the Line 6 Helix Effects unit. The guitar uses "modelling" tech that gives me the ability to quickly switch to different types of guitars (acoustics too) as well as different tunings, all done from the Helix foot pedals. I never switch guitars onstage, unless I break a string. Also, there's some basic synth sounds onboard and I can trigger some simple keyboard chords or melody lines while still playing my separate guitar parts via the foot switches. My last band lost it's keyboard player, didn't replace him, and I used this function fairly often to help fill that hole. I'ts a lot of "tap dancing" on my part, lol, but I did what I could get a song to work. Hopefully my next band has a good keyboard player though and I'd only need to grab that occasional extra part that he/she can't cover. The other items available to me are a looper and an intelligent harmonizer, as well as a ton of amp models and effects. So, a whole lot of potential there.

Also own a Tech 21 Amp. Various mic's, stands, etc. Yamaha acoustic/electric and Paul Reed Smith guitar.
