The church for people who have given up on church is seeking an easy to work with
musician/vocalist leader who is looking for extra income and a public forum to express him or herself musically. This is not a job for churchy musician types. You must be very comfortable playing secular music as well as religious music. You need to have the “ear” so you can learn new songs quickly and without much rehearsal time. You need to be easy going and be willing to sing lead vocals and harmonize with other lead vocalists. You need to understand the difference between singing a solo and singing as the leader of a large group. You need to be reliable as over 150 people will count on you to be present for Sunday worship. You need to be able to work with the Lead Pastor who likes The Grateful Dead, Sting, U2, Alanis Morissette, the David Crowder Band and Trevor Morgan. A lead guitarist is preferred but a keyboardist could work as well. If interested, contact me.
