WHISKEY TRAIN"...3 years ago,guitarist/vocalist John Oakes,and
bassist/vocalist Lee S. Cotton-Thomas began to search for the ideal drummer to
complete their new band,with music from both Jimi Hendrix and
Robin Trower, and others [ZZ TOP,SRV to name a few] a "3-man" band soon emerged with the addition of like-minded drummer,blues harp player and vocalist, Rich Sorenson,and began to carve a "niche" that was theirs alone-a 3-man
group,dedicated to keeping energized,passion-filled musical styles alive for one and all who love the same type of
sheer "electric-blues" powerful and soulful music!...
Both Oakes and Cotton-Thomas had been in other local bands-Oakes with "Red Dawn", 'Mo Beach' and Cotton-Thomas with the "Unusual Suspects"-but,when Oakes and Cotton-Thomas grew tired of playing the traditional "classic-rock" format,they got together
and decided to go their own way musically and vowed to go in a very different direction!!!...and,with this in mind,they chose to offer a very unique,seldom-heard musical style and added drummer Rich Sorenson[Factory edge] to complete the power-blues trio
"WHISKEY TRAIN"-strong,energized and ready to offer fans
a show that is truly a "one-of-a-kind" ex-perience for "power-blues" lovers
in northern Nevada and northern California!!!
