I am looking to form a musical group in SE Iowa. Diveity is cool, but within the pop sub-set. I dig parameters; they give me a boundary that I use as a frame for my songs.
What I'm going for is hard to describe....look at my "influences" list; that probably says more than anything. :)
Imagine singing the witty lyrics of a Lenny Cohen or Stephin Merrit, the tunefulness and hooks of Beach Boys, with electronic-pop rhythmic sounds of The Magnetic Fields, with the somberness that a string section brings...or something...?
