My name is John, I write songs.
I'm from Panama City Beach, Florida. Growing up I was exposed to a lot of gospel tapes and CDs from my mother, however on trips with my dad I was exposed to some older rock stuff on the radio.
In my teens I listened to a lot of heavy metal acts. After my dad passed I received a stack of CDs he had bought while he was alive, my favorite being Black Sabbath. While I was in my early teens I listened to a lot of Nu-Metal and Alt metal stuff from the 90s/00s, as well as a lot of older Punk stuff. After being told I needed to learn an instrument for school, I started learning the Bass when I was around 14 (I learned by playing Misfits songs in my bedroom with my gain maxed out). When I was 16 I started playing bass for my church's youth worship team.
I currently serve on my church's worship team as our alternate bassist, I play every other Sunday.
