I'm interested in writing and arranging songs in collaboration with others to participate in a revival of original '60s style folk/acoustic rock "activist music" in the spirit of Neil Young, Dylan, Joan Baez, etc. but with an edgier, modern/eclectic, and atmospheric vibe. I am a songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, and unfortunately, a hopelessly bad singer. But I am passionate about songwriting - particularly now as a response to the crazy sociopolitical landscape we find ourselves in. I have spent too many years in short-lived bands and playing solo in my basement with my patient wife as my audience, so it's time to connect with a vocalist and a couple of other musicians to build a collection of original songs together to try out in local gigs.
