Band to Join, Vocalist, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Piano, Accordion.

I play guitar (electric), pedal steel, bass and a little keyboard.

Currently interested in either of two things:

• "Post-Rock" instrumental music in the style of 'Pell Mell'. NOT the dirge-y Post-Metal stuff or the loop-based electronic kind. More melody/groove-based. Like an atmospheric Booker T & the MGs. (Other bands I might cite besides Pell Mell would be Steelism, Mattson 2 and 'Friends Of Dean Martinez'.)

• Country - either 60s/70s honky-tonk, or Alt that has an edge.

I also do a thing where I play bass and guitar simultaneously on a special instrument I've cooked up. I call it "dual-range guitar".

I record, compose and program drums using Reaper. I've been sequencing with MIDI since the mid 80s.

I have a band I do the dual-range thing with (it's called Odka), but I have time for something else. Also, I like to host instrumental jams at my place in the east village.

I invent music products for a living.

I have a space in the East Village where music can be played, but not with full drums. There's a digital drum kit and headphone monitoring system. Or we play headphone-free with an unusual acoustic thing I designed that sounds like a drum kit but at a very low volume. There are amps and plenty of guitars and other instruments here also.

I sometimes host parties here where music gets played - "chamber concerts", or just jams.
