Band to Join.

Hey everyone, thanks for looking at my page. I'm interested in a few different projects. 1. A rock cover band doing mostly 70s, 80s, and 90s rock. I would play bass or rhythm guitar and sing backup. 2. An original band. I would write or co-write the songs, play rhythm guitar or bass, and sing lead or backup depending on who else was in the band. The songs may or may not have Christian themes, but I'm not interested in being any sort of praise band whatsoever. That's fine for some people, just not for me. I'm thinking more introspective, wrestling with faith kind of stuff. Maybe an Americana-type feel. 3. I'm starting to learn some jazz, so if there's a jazz group or singer out there who would be patient with an experienced rock guy who's an inexperienced jazz guy, let me know.
I would be up for getting together a couple of times a month either for practice or gigs. I've got a fair amount of experience gigging and consider myself semi-professional, and would love to work with people at that level or higher, but that's totally negotiable. I'm not into practicing under the influence, but sometimes I'll have beer or two. Doing a full band practice at my house is not an option, but something very low-key might work.
