i'm looking to meet alternative/indie rock and post-punk musicians, maybe even darkwave. i've been playing for roughly four years now, and am a college student commuting to UCR and majoring in creative writing. i really want to meet musicians who share my taste just to try out our styles and see if there's a chance for moving on to something better.
i can play rhythm guitar and sing baritone or tenor (i have choir experience) or i can play lead. i have a shallow comprehension of music theory, but i do know my major/minor scales in any given key and bar chords.
i have a few song ideas that are ready to go as soon as i get a few musician's who share the same style. i even recorded them with a metronome so my friends could play their instruments over them (they're not dedicated enough, though).
i'm tired of people saying "pro" musicians, so i'd just like to make it clear that if you know what you're doing it's obvious. if you don't, you probably know. isn't that fair? i don't judge musicians, because we all do our own thing. i just want a few people who have similar desires in music.
if you're interested, you could email me at: jferret100y+a+h+o+o for a faster response. i currently live in rancho cucamonga and commute to the university of riverside.
