I play for the song, nothing fancy, I just do what I do. I play a heavy bass line when I can, blues being the ideal choice for my style. I don't like to just sit on roots, but if it is what the song needs I have no problem doing so.
I'm in this for the music. I'm a bass player, always have been, I have no desire to be the front man, the star, etc. Personally, I'd rather sit back, chill on a beer between songs, then get back into it. I have no extreme ego, but I do take my instrument seriously. Other than that, I'm about as chill as they come.
