Hey there, my name is John, but most of my friends call me Swing. I've been in Nashville my whole life and grew up in and around the music business.
I've been signed to indie and major labels. I've been fortunate to have toured independently as well as nationally through booking agencies. My musical efforts have been limited to a sort of hobby level for the last ten years or so while raising my son and working to make sure my family is financially and emotionally established.
I like subversive music across most genres. I have my roots in alternative, punk, and indie rock but lately I am really inspired by hip hop, pop, and more accessible musical genres. The stuff that really speaks to these days is typically a hybrid of multiple genres, and the more clever the implementation, the better.
