Born in Kansas City, raised in Central Missouri, I eventually found my way back, via the rest of the country! I've had a hand in many different trades over the years, but I've done one thing longer than everything else combined....PLAY MUSIC! I've spent over 35 years playing bass behind chicken wire!

In the early nineties, I was touring with a band in the northwest, with intentions of relocating to Seattle. Our agent set us up with a gig opening up for Black Oak Arkansas in Coos Bay, Oregon. After the gig, I was invited to their room, and asked to tour with them. I left with them a couple of hours later leaving behind a huge PA system, a pretty cool old tour bus and a bewildered band without a bass player. (They all assured me that they would have done the same thing.) The resulting tour lasted several months, but I quickly learned that I could not be cooped up in a motel room with that much ego any longer.

Some of the most awesome musicians that I've jammed with, were from so far out in the country that sunlight had to be piped in! (Like we ever saw the sunlight) I've played the blues, I've played metal, I've played country and I've played bluegrass. What do I like the best? I love it all, as long as its DONE WELL! I hate putting one type of music or the other in a box. I believe that in this day and age, it is practically impossible to come up with something new. What's new is actually a marriage of different elements of what's already been done.
