ABOUT

Acoustic and electric guitar since the 70's. I grew up playing drums and keyboards first. My "regular gigs" are playing in the Western Reserve Big Band and Blue Fiasco, a jazz quartet.

It's fun for me to be original and creative, so I don't like to try to sound like someone else's recording.

I try to be the best rhythm player I can, adding feel and/or texture. In a group, I try to play what everyone else is not. So, if the piano has full chords, I play shell voicings; if keyboards are in a high register, I play low; if the bass is adding a 4/4 feel, I add rhythm.
