Looking to start a hip hop/ metal/ alternative rock band. My stage name is Jonathan Constantine: Hip Hop Exorcist.I already have recorded material and several lyrics without instrumental. Subject matter is Christian based, but you do not have to be a Christian to apply, so long as our creative tastes agree. I live in San Diego California and am not looking to relocate. A little bit about myself. I have been an emcee since I was 15 years old and have crafted my lyricism over a span of 25 years. I was born in Albuquerque NM and was earlier influenced by hip hop since the age of 7. When I enlisted into the Army, my music tastes greatly expanded and I grew to enjoy an eclectic palette of genres from disco, rockabilly, reggae, heavy metal, grunge, punk, classic rock, alternative, fusion, industrial, and underground hip hop. All of these influences challenged me to be more unique in my style of lyricism and I pride myself on being a versatile emcee and artist. Even though my faith in God plays an important role in the content of my lyrics, I try to be accessible to those outside of my faith by writing relateable subject matter without losing the essence of my overall message. I have 8 years of expirience playing gigs, from churches to college campuses, bars, music festivals, native reservations, and even coffee shops. My overall goal is to have a versatile band that defies the stereotype that Christian music is corny. I'm of the belief that truth is hardcore enough to stand on it's own in the midst of superficiality and bravado known to typify those who call themselves rappers. I am open to ideas and teamwork is something I am accustomed to. If this sounds interesting enough for you to want to be involved in, please contact me and we can see where this goes.
