My reason for joining bandmix is two-fold:
Overall, I just want to play music with a strong group of committed musicians.
In that regard, I'm either looking for musicians to start a band with, or I'm looking for an existing project that needs a drummer.
I've played in several bands over the last 25+ years. (Jam bands, alt rock, country, southern rock, funk, and more)
I'm 44 years old. I'm down with joining forces with players of any age. Any player that has a special bond with music like I do is a potential band mate in my book.
The project of my dreams would be to form a band focused primarily on original material.
However, I'm equally motivated to be a part of a strong cover band with a steady gig schedule.

Influences
Music in general influences me in a deep way. I've never been fully absorbed into just one genre. Here's some of my favorites:
The Talking Heads, Arctic Monkeys,
The Pixies, Phish, YES, Alice In Chains, The Grateful Dead, Cage The Elephant, Black Sabbath.............I could go on and on.
