Band to Join, Bass Guitar, Drums.

ABOUT

Hi! I am a 23-year-old singer-songwriter and Portland native looking to form a 3-piece band consisting of keys/vocals, bass, and drums. My goal is to rehearse regularly (1-2 times a week) and begin booking local gigs in the Portland area. I currently play with local psych-rock outfit Atomic Momma and have experience performing in local venues including the Roseland Theater, Bit House Saloon, Twilight Cafe, Dante's, and more.

I am recruiting the following:

- Bassist/Backing vocalist: Vocal range doesn't have to be massive, I myself generally sing somewhere between the higher end bass and tenor registers. I just need someone who can take on harmonies within that range, some higher and some lower.

- Drummer: Don't need anything approaching a Neil Peart-sized kit, something on the smaller end is probably better considering the types of venues we'll generally be playing. Ability to provide additional backing vocals is a plus but not necessary by any means. Just need someone who can keep a steady beat.

As far as a practice space goes, I live in a decently sized apartment and we could definitely rehearse here but we would need to keep mindful of the neighbors and not play too loud or too late. If anybody has an alternative practice space available that would be even better. My music isn't quite made to blow out people's eardrums but I do classify myself as a rock artist, so I'm aiming to strike a happy medium between easy listening and deafening.
