SEEKINGVocalist, Vocalist - Tenor, Vocalist - Soprano, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Drums.
Bassist with well-rounded musical knowledge and experience. Many years of professional performance with bands including variety/show, classic rock, original roots rock, blues, R&B, Motown, acoustic rock, a little fusion here and there. Enjoy playing with other skilled, experienced musicians in the Columbia, SC, area.
Right now committed to two bands, both of which are on hiatus from live performance until the Coronavirus is back under control. When the music scene opens back up I will be available for sub work with minimal ramp-up time.
Pros: Seasoned experience, former music minor with well-trained ear, good with arrangements, chords, etc., know a lot of classic pop, rock, R&B, blues material. Quick study, reliable/on time, easy to work with, carry my share of the equipment. Understand the difference between "practice" and "rehearsal." We practice at home, so we can have a productive rehearsal. Experience with band business plans, marketing and website design/administration.
Cons: Not a sight-reader, but very good ear player. Not a "lead" bassist, very little slapping, don't jump around on stage, prefer to be an accompanist and hold down a rock solid rhythm section with the drums. Motto: "Frame the Singer." Very good backup vocalist but not a lead vocalist.
