I am a guitarist looking for a band that is working and getting paid, but loves what they do and can do it with success as to sticking to the music and the work involved. I have a great time with other musicians who can do this. My thinking as a musician is as a performer of music and keeping folks dancing and enjoying themselves. We are the melody makers.
I am 48 years young and have played in 8 different bands only in my life and keeping that number low was and still is intentional, however; the time spent with these bands were long and enjoyable. Life happens and things move on. I fear spreading myself too thin.
I have an original band with happy members ( the drummer and I have been working together for about 15 years) but need to be involved in at least two bands. I am searching for band number two for my schedule.
I take music and playing in a band very seriously, but don't take myself too seriously.
One of my rules for myself (for me) is never to drink on a performance or rehearsal night.
Punctual. Usually 15 mins early. If I can't make it, you will be informed.

I have played several styles, but I stick to the sound I like to sound like. I carry a strong Blues presence in my playing along with funk, rock and classical. This description is quite similar to anyone else's, so I must suffer the dullness of my own description here, but it is what it is. I have also played years of classical guitar in my younger years. My Les Paul gets some of that.
