ABOUT

Jordan Lipp has been a drummer and enthusiast of the craft since picking up his first pair of drumsticks at age 12.

Since his older brother, Paul, was an accomplished self-taught guitarist, Jordan felt compelled to take up drumming in order fill the void in his brother's first band. After only months of getting his first drum set, Jordan was playing gigs and practicing incessantly. Inspired by Roy Futureman Wooten, of Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, Jordan took up the Zendrum (.zendrum), and became the youngest endorsee of the instrument at age 13.

Soon thereafter, Jordan was playing over 150 shows a year with the acclaimed electric jazz trio, Jive Turkey, featuring his brother Paul on electric guitar, and bass virtuoso, John Davis (.thebunkerstudio).

In 2002, Jordan received a scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he had the opportunity to study with greats like Rod Morgenstein, Mike Mangini, Kim Plainfield, Ralph Peterson and Dave DiCenso. During this time, Jordan was also involved in numerous musical projects and recordings, including Restless Radio, a quirky pop/rock suit fronted by his brother, Paul (./restlessradioband) and Clarias (.clariasmusic).

In 2006, Clarias won the title of â??Bostonâ??s Best Bandâ?? by Mix 98.5 FM, after beating out over 250 competitors, winning to opportunity to open for Bon Jovi at Gillette Stadium. Since itâ??s inception, the group has shared the stage with such diverse acts as Kanye West, Jimmy Buffet, and Nickelback; and have toured nationally and internationally â?? most recently to Japan in late 2009.

In early 2011, Jordan began playing with Bostonâ??s premier country rock band, DIGGER DAWG. Formed by Joe Scopa in 2004, the band has been performing in and around New England â?? opening for country super stars like: Alan Jackson, Gretchen Wilson, Sugarland, Montgomery Gentry, Reba McEntire, Travis Tritt, Tim McGraw, Steve Azar, Josh Turner, Kellie Pickler, Keith Anderson, Tracy Byrd, Julie Roberts, Brooks and Dunn, George Strait, Eric Church, Phil Vassar, Brad Paisley, Jo Dee Messina, Blake Shelton, Chuck Wicks, Jimmy Wayne, David Nail, Lonestar, Loretta Lynne, and many many more.

From 2011-2017, Jordan made NYC his home, playing with groups such as the newly formed alt rock group Mars Motel and southern rock/blues outfit City Vultures, alt rock group Rony's Insomnia, and the funk/soul group The Clubs -- having recorded two records and playing shows at all the major NYC music venues, including residencies at The Living Room, The Shrine and Rockwood Music Hall.

He has recently relocated to sunny Southern California and is currently looking for new projects and collaborations.
