With honest roots in Denton, TX, JP Campbell began his musical career singing in his teenage years. Inspired by the songwriters of the early Texas Country and Red Dirt bands, JP picked up a guitar in his 20s and hasn’t looked back since.
However, JP’s journey has not been without hardship. Working in the mortgage industry, JP’s life was turned upside down by the housing market/stock market crash of 2008. To get through the tough times, JP turned to songwriting and began performing at open mics.
Armed with new songs and experience on stage, JP broke out into the Texas music scene with the release of his debut single “Bar Dating” in October of 2019. The single went on to reach top 100 on three Texas Radio charts. Feeling the demand for more music, JP travelled to Nashville in October of 2020 to work with renowned producer Philip Mosley on a 7 song ALBUM. The first single, “Triggers Dreams,” Out on radio now
I'm looking to have a band to back me, on my album release and go from there. This is not a hobby for me. my latest single " Triggers Dreams is out now, off my 7 song album that was recorded in Nashville. I have music sheets, and studio charts.
