Neyland Pettis, also known as “JR”, is a well established percussionist in the state of Oklahoma. He teaches privately and also coaches high school percussion sections across the state. Neyland has performed with many worship and secular bands in the metro area and has most recently worked as a staff musician at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. JR has been a member and drummer of The Metro Jazz Collective Quartet and the Maddy Flebbe Quintet. Neyland has earned a Bachelor’s of Music degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and continues strong in his musical and professional endeavors.
