Common Thread is a church-sponsored band with a mission to serve the Leander/Cedar Park area and the Leander Independent School District with enjoyable, family-friendly, free music at weekend community events, elementary school carnivals and neighborhood block parties. Through our music, we connect people to The Journey Bible Fellowship - an inviting place to discover faith.

We tend to play classic rock/country for the parents and well known songs from kids movies and pop for the kids. It is a varied mix of Foo Fighters, Romantics, Chili Peppers, Smash Mouth, Brian Setzer, Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, Taylor Swift, Cake, Santana, SRV, Rob Thomas, Huey Lewis, Downtown Fiction, All-American Rejects and more

We are a church sponsored band with a nice sound system, in ear monitors and related equipment. We all own our instruments and share some audio equipment as needed.
