SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I'm new to the Silver Spring area and I'm looking to chill and play.
I've been playing guitar since I was 13, but I've never been in a serious band. I'd love to have a regular group to meet up with, play, have fun, and get some experience playing with others, and if we can lay down some funky enough shapes, maybe even play gigs. If everyone's cool and we sound groovy I might even crank up the "commitment" rating.
I'd love to play the blues, but I also love a lot of classic rock, punk, some 90's stuff, anything Beck. I'm pretty much up for whatever as long as everyone is nice.
As you'll see on my equipment list, I've got my guitars, but no recording equipment or anything. But since it's really hard to gauge how someone will fit into your group without hearing them, I'm including two recordings I made with my crappy laptop. Ignore the sound quality, and focus on the quality of the sound. One is a funny (hopefully) little country song I wrote, Haulin' Ass (copyright, trademark, copyright) and the other is me covering a little piece of the blues masterpiece Backdoor Man.

Haulin' Ass
Haulin' Ass Track number: 1 Year: 2017 Album: Carl's Greatest (and only) Hits Genre: Acoustic
I wrote this song. A lot of times, when I write, it tends to end up being a funny and/or dirty country/folk song, but I'm sure if I put my mind to it I could do something else.

Backdoor Man
Backdoor Man Track number: 2 Genre: Blues
Just a snippet of Backdoor Man. My wife hates this song.
