Indoctrinated into the live music and schooled by soul singers in the birth of soul music, Mississippi. Played at several venues and studios in Los Angeles. Performances range from small weddings, to network television; club scene to award shows. Very comfortable singing lead. Great in group settings, skilled in listening to others and matching pitch and tonality.

Influences

A great influence of mine was my grand mother and her three sisters. Four part harmonies during prayer a t family gatherings. Growing up in church and singing not one church choirs an praise teams but at school as well. Ive had at leave 6 different voice teachers and a number of vocal mentors. My influences include a menagerie of artists; ranging from Billy Holiday to Freddie Mercury and so much in between. I grew up emulating the greats but it was on stage that I found the power of my own voice. From Mariah's range to Anita's tonality. I love how James Taylor catches you in his stories. How Etta James and Stevie Nicks utilized the raw textures of their voice. I've always respected Beyonce's control and practiced matching her vocal placement.

Though it seems like nothing has had a greater impact on me than performing. Each time I stand before a listening crowd I'm having a learning experience and exhibiting growth. This is applicable to sessions as well.
