BIO

Inspired by Rock and Roll, Jazz, Fusion artists like, Billy Sheehan, Stuart Hamm, Les Claypool, Stanley Clark, Stanley Jordan, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Michael Manring, Jaco Pastorius and many more just to name a few. Although he never had any formal training on the bass, he used his own perfect pitch to teach himself a multitude of tunes on the bass and electric guitar, ranging from rock and roll classics to great composer favorites.

Justin has performed for Major Labels, Military/USO/Air Force, Motorcycle Rallies, Festivals and Private Parties.

Justin has backed up/and or collaborated with major recording artists from Atlantic Records, Warner Bros., Sony, Columbia, and Interscope Records. Resume provided upon request.

He performed at the Confederate Air Force Base in Abilene, TX to a crowd of 30,000. It was here that he met the last of the living “Flying Tigers”.

Justin was giving the opportunity to sit in with Chris Duarte Group and Grammy award winner Jimmy Vaughn band and Blue Monday.

Justin has performed/collaborated with former members of Paul Simon, Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians, Jimmy Vaughn, Galactic Cowboys, Chris Duarte Group, Pinetop Perkins just to name a few.

Justin has shared the stage with Joe Satriani, Doobie Brothers, Kings X, Lynard Skynard, Blues Traveler, Steely Dan, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Planet X, Charlie Daniel's, Collective Soul, Steve Miller, Willie Nelson, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, The Governor of Texas Rick Perry, San Antonio Spurs, Roger Creagor, Diamond Rio, Omar and the Howlers, W.C Clark, Eric Johnson and many others.

Justin formed a two bass player project called Bass Station first formed in 2005. The Bass Station plays styles of music ranging from Conversational Jazz, Fusion, Spiritual, Grooving, Funky, Relax'n, Latin, Feeling 'and Healing'.... Edgy and Smooth.

Justin has worked/employed by Lone Wolf Management Company from 2002 - 2005. Lone Wolf=Bill Ham, ZZ Tops management company for 38 years along with many other well-known artists.

While Justin can give credit to many bass players and guitar players who have influenced his musical career—Billy Sheehan, Les Claypool, Stuart Hamm, Stanley Clark, Stanley Jordan, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey and Jaco Pastorius, he says, “Overall it’s about the music”.

1st Rig (Primary)

-1-Mark Bass 4x10 cab

-1 Mark Bass head 1000 watts for lows

-1 Mark Bass Combo/500 watts for highs.

-Various different foot pedals--I run in stereo two separate jacks from my bass to distortion and clean mixed with compression on the high end 500 watts

-Lows I run completely separate no effects maybe a little compression other than that just low end 1000 watts

I gig with this rig because its not as heavy to move.

****I can always scale down and just run in one amp for small gigs not a problem***

-1 Trace Elliot SMX 800 watts for lows

-1 Trace Elliot 400 watts for highs

-2 Trace Elliot 4x10 cab

-Rack consist of Pearce BC1 two channel distortion and clean mixed together--I run in stereo two separate jacks --distortion and clean mixed with compression on the high end 400 watts

-Low I run completely separate no effects maybe a little compression other than that just low end 800 watts

4 string Yamaha Attitude Limited Addition 1 (One of Billy Sheehan's personal basses) I sold my suburban to purchase it--no shit.
