Hey all, 29 year old guy in Methuen Mass looking for people to make music with! After relocating and leaving my last group, I've found that I play way more when I have people to play with so I'd really like to start putting together/join a band or jam group. Ideally I'm looking for people with interest in the punk/emo/pop-punk/ska/alt side of things.
I've been playing guitar again for about 5 years after stopping for a decade or so. I prefer to play rhythm sections, I don't mind playing lead as needed but I'm not much of a shredder.
Did some choir type vocals growing up and have spent the last few years doing classical voice training. Range is pretty solid when I'm consistently singing but I'm most comfortable in tenor pitches. I don't have a ton of experience with distorted vocals but it's something I've always wanted to learn. I do struggle with singing and playing guitar at the same time, very difficult to get used to.
Recently picked up a bass and low end drum set and working to learn both. I can functionally play bass but only at the level that directly translates from guitar at this point.
I'm also able to host, I've got a decent setup all be it a bit tight but no noise restrictions.
