ABOUT

We’re looking for very dedicated and serious musicians to join us in a band I’ve formed based on my musical writings. Though I have written the songs, and they’re ready to rehearse, this doesn’t mean your individual input or writings wouldn’t be used. Everyone in the band is equal and has equal input meaning no idea is a bad idea. The band is currently named “K2”. The music itself is based on my musical interests ranging across several different genres, and we like to explore and welcome other styles. We would like to heavily focus on a strong vocal presence within our music meaning harmonies particularly female harmonies. Please know that I don’t need to be the “Front Man”, and an additional vocalist would be singing lead as well.

By 1st quarter 2011 we expect to have all of our music recorded, and ready to distribute with plans for a CD release party with the full band in early to mid-summer of 2011. We have full access to a recording studio for future recordings, and it’s also where we have live shows and full sound practice sessions.

A little about me:
I started playing drums when I was 13 years old, and have been in working bands since I was 16. I picked up guitar in about 1990, and also started getting serious about singing around the same time. I have been writing music for years, and love the art of writing and composition. When it comes to playing cover songs for live shows I prefer it if they’re heavily modified. I’m currently in a heavy metal band playing drums named Texas Death Grip.

So in short we’re looking for serious musicians that have no ego problems, and that contribute to the band’s success equally. If you suffer from musical ego head trauma or need to be the center of attention, then please don’t contact us.
