ABOUT

I am interested in putting together or joining a group of people who want to play classic rock as a starting point. I specialize in playing other people's music like the record. I don't try to fool audiences and worst of all, fool myself. My ultimate goal is to colaborate with other songwriters. The way I see it is: If you can't get a group of people to gel playing other artist's music correctly and get paid for it, in all likelyhood you will never get an original band off of the ground. If you can tolerate someone who is a bit of a perfectionist ... and wants only good music as the end product ... please contact me. PS ... BS is always a by-product. I don't expect perfection in the mix and match stage. If you are truly talented and know your stuff about Rock'n Roll it will show through the ice breaking and the "smell of the garage." Nobody is perfect and this business is not easy.

Influences

ATTENTION FELLOW GUTIAR PLAYERS! IF YOU PLAY ALL OF YOUR CLASSIC ROCK SONGS IN STANDARD TUNING I CAN'T WORK WITH YOU! Many Classic Rock songs have been written in standard tuning (including some Heavy Metal) but there
are some that have to be played in alternate tunings. If this prerequisite offends you, all the more reason not to contact me. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO UNDERSTAND THE NUANCES OF ALTERNATE TUNINGS ... YOU HAVEN'T BEEN CRAZY ALL THESE YEARS TRYING TO EXPLAIN IT TO OTHER GUITAR PLAYERS.

This is what I like to play: Beatles, Stones, Who, Zeppelin, Cream, British invasion. I also groove on Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Skynyrd, Eagles, Almann Brothers, Johnny Winter, Neil Young, CSN&Y, Santana, Journey and the Police. I am also working on rediscovering Hendrix. I love Motown, Funk, and I hate to admit it, even some Disco (she's a brick ... HOUSE! ) ... There are a few more that I haven't mentioned. It all gets too homogeneous with a list a mile long (half as long as this one).
