Kaija is a violinist and music educator based in Southern California. She began playing violin at age 8, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach with degrees in both Violin Performance and Music Composition.
Kaija has been playing violin at a professional level since 2010. Her performances have ranged from weddings, orchestras, music for film, video games, and other media, to art galleries, dance shows, nightclubs, and many more. She is comfortable playing and arranging a wide variety of genres, including both traditional and contemporary classical, rock and metal, jazz, pop, fiddling, improvisation, and electronic music. As a composer and performer, she finds great enrichment from experiencing and learning about music from all over the world, and is very open to exploring new styles.
