Lately I've been listening to everything from hardcore (Drain, Gel, Angel Du$t, OK Buddy), to art punk (Tropical Fuck Storm, WHY NOT), to gothic country (Murder by Death) to ambient pop-psych (Mikaela Davis), to new soul (Black Pumas, Little Dragon) to garage blues (Black Keys), to metalcore (Code Orange), to prog-hop (Oble Reed) to rock & roll freakouts (Frankie and The Witch Fingers), to electro-punk (Serfs, IDLES), to free jazz (Black Midi). What brings all these strands together is the attitude of do-it-yourself.
